RESPONSIBILITY

Our responsibility

Beer originates from nature and is brewed using only natural raw materials. As such, taking responsibility is a fundamental and self-evident priority for us. Here you’ll find an overview of the measures we actively implement to bring this commitment to life.

Supporting Biodiversity

We enhance biodiversity in our supply chain by promoting nature-friendly practices.

Wildflower meadows are vital habitats that support biodiversity by providing food, shelter, and breeding grounds for pollinators and other endangered species. These refuges provide endangered species with sufficient food and valuable protection. To support this important measure for preserving biodiversity, Radeberger Gruppe funds its partners with various flowering seed mixtures tailored to regional conditions, each containing at least five different species.

Responsible employer

We uphold human rights and labor standards throughout our supply chain by adhering to our Supplier Code of Conduct and Human Rights Policy Statement.

We have committed to upholding these principles through our Supplier Code of Conduct and Human Rights Policy Statement, which sets clear expectations for respecting human rights and labor standards throughout our supply chain.

Contract farming

We source our natural raw materials through contract farming to ensure quality, transparency, and long-term sustainability.

By relying on contract farming, we ensure long-term partnerships with our agricultural suppliers based on transparency, reliability, and shared responsibility. This approach allows us to guarantee consistent quality, and support regional value creation, benefiting both the environment and the people.

Energy consumption

We are continuously working to reduce our energy consumption.

To achieve this, we’ve invested in a new can filling line that cuts energy use by 45 % compared to the previous machine, and we’re expanding our electric fleet, including e-forklifts, electric cars, and e-trucks to lower emissions across operations. In addition, we regularly engage our employees to raise awareness about energy-saving practices and foster a culture of responsible resource use.

Water consumption

We actively limit our water consumption through technology and awareness.

To reduce our water footprint, we’ve introduced a new can filling line which lowers water usage compared to the previous system. Beyond technological improvements, we regularly remind and engage our employees through internal campaigns, ensuring that water-saving practices are firmly embedded in daily routines throughout the company.
